I picked up my first camera in 6th grade and was immediately hooked on the photographic adventure. I was always artistic and when I discovered the image creation possibilities of photography I knew this was part of my destiny. By the time I was in high school I had learned to develop film and create enlargements in the darkroom. I loved the process and the experience of the darkroom but really believe my image creation exploded upon the discovery of the possibilities in the digital realm.
I worked as a newspaper photographer after high school which gave me the opportunity to interact with a variety of people and cultures. My curiosity was inflamed with the possibilities of what I could do with my camera. After my newspaper experience I worked for a period of time as a concert photographer before I transitioned into a studio photographer doing portraits and weddings in the midwest mostly.
I love collaborating with clients to define and create the kinds of images treasured and valued for many years.
In July of 2025 we started a podcast. Our podcast is not intended to set us up as experts but rather to share our experience and hopefully inspire fledging and experienced photographers to see better and be more intentional in the capture of photographic images.
